Every species has "specs" — humidity, temperature, light, water regime, pH. Pick a target environment, and compatibility is judged by whether the ranges overlap.
Pick a type (terra / palu / aqua) and size — the target environment becomes your baseline, like a motherboard socket.
Add plants, animals and cleanup crew — each species' specs are checked against the baseline.
Green means compatible, amber means caution, red means incompatible — with the reason shown.
